ST NICHOLAS SCHOOL -

ST NICHOLAS SCHOOL: There are close links between the church and our church primary school. The rector is a member of the school’s governing body and our previous rector took weekly assemblies. In KS2 there are also Year Group Eucharists to which parents and members of the congregation are invited. In Reception and KS1 there are termly Bread Sharing assemblies which are also popular with children and their parents. All Year Groups come to the church at various times during the year for different reasons. The carol service for Years 3 & 4 and the Leavers service for Year 6 are two examples. In addition, the Community Eucharist is celebrated on a Sunday in the school hall at least once a term and frequently the worship is led by staff and pupils. In the recent past a First Communion course has been held.
