Choir
There has been a Choir at St. Nicholas Church since the Renaissance period and this tradition has continued to grow and grow.
The choir rehearse on a Thursday evenings and sing at the 9:30am Eucharist every Sunday and on the first Sunday of every month there is a choral evensong at 6:30pm. The choir have an annual trip to a cathedral and have over the years have performed at Arundel, Gloucester, St. Paul's Cathedral, Salisbury, Ely, Wells and most recently Winchester.
The link with St. Nicholas School Choir means that we have been regularly joined by musical children with an interest in singing.

Alternatively, come along to one of our Thursday evening (7:30 - 9pm) rehearsals and experience the friendly atmosphere for yourself. There is no audition, all we ask is for you to have a love for singing and don't worry about not reading music,

Due to Covid restrictions, we have not sung as a choir for over a year, and we are currently without a musical director. However, the choir cant wait to get back in voice as soon as regulations allow. We will certainly be keen to recruit new singers.
